A Health & Safety Demo with a Difference

Today our beloved (or-not-so beloved depending on how the Northern Line is running) London Underground celebrates 150 years since the first underground journey took place between Paddington and Farringdon on the Metropolitan Railway.

To mark the occasion we dug into our own archives to find a story about how Symbols of Reevaluation have always been used to puncture complacency or usher in the new – here’s a classic story from the early days of the tube in which the London Underground created a brilliant symbol of reevaluation to persuade commuters to try something new.
