Saying vs. Doing – Make it Visible

By Olivia Knight, 22/04/2010

I heard something interesting from Richard Madeley. Yes that’s worrying. Anyway its a t-shirt company called Random Acts of Kindness who have decided to lend a hand (and also cash in) on the movement of the same name by making t-shirts that visibly explain the idea – which is basically to do something random and kind every now and then.

I guess I just like this because although I like to think we all do kind things without to much prompting this physical t-shirt not only reminds you every day you wear it to do something deliberately and unexpectedly kind but also makes your intention visible to others so you’ve really got to live up to it. With the t-shirt on I’m not sure just giving up your seat for an old lady is random or kind enough… I think you’re talking piggyback and doorstep.

If you haven’t seen the brand check out http://www.arkhq.com/, if you are the brand I’d love to meet up. Tea and Cake on me.
