Emails can be so bloodless

Whilst happily sipping on a cocktail at Cubitt House the other day, in blithe anticipation of a very delicious steak, I noticed this on my table.
A postcard that I could fill out to send to a friend. If I took it to the bar they would put a stamp on it for me and even post it on my behalf. A great idea: I was in.
The design and tone captures what they’re all about: a family run business whose locations provide relaxed and unpretentious havens in a very hectic city.
For the price of a postcard and a stamp they created an opportunity for me to have a giggle with my friends and for them to project what they stand for. As a lover of receiving letters I was there- ready to pour scorn on the cheapness of emails – and “delete where appropriate”.
Not a big investment, but it certainly caught our attention and imagination at the time. This should be how every Challenger thinks about each communication idea it has – does it pass the ‘pass-on-ability’ test? If it doesn’t, don’t bother.
